Revival Vintage New In August

Header

This month has flown past as always.  A popular month for vintage events up and down the country I hope most of them didn't suffer from our changeable weather.

As the nights draw in I have to start thinking about building up some good stock for Autumn Winter.  Above you can see the type of traditional men's vintage knitwear I tend to buy.  I will be hunting out some great Heritage styles over the next few weeks.

Rose Garden Dress

During late summer I think of my garden roses that continue to blooms well into the Autumn.  This dress ticks all the boxes as far as I'm concerned, printed with my favourite flower in shades of red and grey.  It has pretty scallop detail to the shoulders and now being stocked in size UK 8 through UK 22.

The embroidery trend continues on the high street I thought I would bring a touch to our popular gingham dress below. Both dresses are by Hellbunny Pop Soda with the crisp cotton and high quality finish you can expect from that label.  Also available from tiny to plus.

The good news is these type of 1950s style dresses look great with cardigans, so pick out a complimentary colour and layer up when the chills set in.

Also in August I introduced some swing pants in navy, black and dark burgundy red.  Wear with a fitted sweater or 1940s style jacket to really look the part at those Autumn events such as Pickering forties weekend in October.

Women's Trousers

Back to the fellas August brought many more forties style double breasted suits to the site, however many of these have been snapped up for the forthcoming Goodwood Revival.  Bear with us while we stock back up again.  Meanwhile I have just added this superb vintage tweed jackets.  You will find Harris tweeds and a couple of beauties from Burberry.  They won't hang around for long but we are always on the hunt for more good examples of these classic sports blazers.

Men's Suits

Often it's the finishing touches that make a vintage or retro outfit look truley authentic.  This month I have added more beautiful bags and gorgeous vintage gloves like these.  They were the must have accessory of the 1940s 50s and 60s. In fact you may like to read our short history of gloves blog . So make sure you get all gloved up when you take a stroll in your vintage finest.
