1940s Style CC41 Homefront Skirt Suit Claret Red
The design of our Socialite label Homefront suit is taken from an original CC41 ladies' suit in our collection, lending this piece incredible accuracy to the styles of the 40s decade. Made of a soft wool-feel check fabric, the warm claret red tones make it ideal for wear during autumn and winter.
The Homefront suit has a wealth of gorgeous original details, including the two deep, shaped pockets on the jacket, shoulder padding, and the striking peak lapels. Darts on the jacket create the unmistakable 40s era pulled-in waist, flattering the wearer's figure. The jacket is fully lined inside and fastened with four coordinating buttons.
The jacket is paired with a pleated A-line skirt that's comfortable to move in. The skirt is unlined and is fastened with a metal side zipper at the waist.
Both pieces could of course be easily styled as versatile separates in the wardrobe of a vintage enthusiast.
The Homefront suit is a superior quality garment offered in our own Socialite line that will turn heads in the cooperate world or stun at vintage nostalgia events. As with all our Socialite range, only small numbers are produced to keep them exclusive.
65% polyester, 35% rayon. Wash at 30 degrees. Iron with warm heat. Do not tumble dry.
