Revival Vintage New In October

Pickering WeekendPickering War Weekend

Just wanted to start this month's newsletter by telling you all how much I enjoyed the Pickering 1940s weekend.  It was my first time with a stall in the town centre and I am already booked in for next year!

I was thrilled to see so many people dressed beautifully head to toe in 1940s clothing.  There were some stunning outfits all of which I was too busy or too shy to photograph but for me it was the ultimate place to people watch.  Here I am above at my stall and as you can see it got rather crowded in there at times!

It did take a lot of organising and we did the Pickering Huddersfield journey 5 times there and back which has left me a bit behind with other things.  Here is a summary as usual of the new stock I have managed to source and list this month.

 Womens Vintage Knitwear

I have bought a lot of great new women's vintage cardigans and jumpers this month.  I am about half way through getting them on the site.  They are mostly Nordic and Fairisle styles in a whole host of colours.  The majority are 100% wool and hand knitted.  If only I had the talent to produce such fabulous knitwear.  Some of the cardigans have decorative metal buttons or clips which add to the richness and quality of these garments.

Some are warm enough and definitely stylish enough to wear as a jacket.  Which is just as well because some of them are way too nice to hide under a cardigan.

My favourite Fairisles are the ones with round yoke patterns, if you haven't seen it already I looked into this technique in my BLOG  The Beauty of Fairisle

Vintage Inspired Suits & Dresses

Took this beautiful new suit to Pickering with me & it turned a few heads.  Also new in this green check dress with detachable fur collar and blue flock beauty ideal for winter evening wear.

Finally got round to adding my cherry hair clips to the site and more than a handful of vintage gloves all priced and organised in clear bags so they can come to events with me.  You will also find a few new hats and bags but more to follow in November.

Vintage for Men

Men's Vintage

This month apart from gradually re-stocking suits and waistcoats I have concentrated more on vintage womenswear.  Next month I will be adding several ideas for Christmas gifts for dad's who do vintage & the other chaps in your life.

No more events planned for me now this year so that I can concentrate on this little lot but you can always drop me an email or FB message to say hi.  Pictures, you know how I love to see you in your vintage clobber even if you bought it somewhere else.  Don't think I will ever tire of looking at it.

Have a good November, be carefully with those fireworks your vintage coat might not be flame proof!
