Up To Date With Revival In August
August is our busiest month as we count down to Goodwood Revival. We have more visitors to our showroom, we have more website orders to process and more stock to add to the site as we approach the deadline. With that in mind I feel I am going to have to rush this newsletter so it's not going to be one of my best but I do have some great new things to share.
New Vintage In For The Gals
I have just bought a lot of fabulous new vintage dresses. Predominently 1940s but we are just in the process of collecting them, cleaning, mending etc so haven't any pictures as yet. However keep a lookout on our social media because I will be posting images as we go. https://www.facebook.com/RevivalVintageClothes/ Meanwhile here are some other goodies new to the site this month.
Three New Super Shades of our patent Kelly frame bags to coordinate with your dresses and suits from the 1950s and 60s. Find them along with the other great colours among our vintage bags.
Vintage Outwear we don't mind having to wrap up in these lovely coats. I don't actually buy many but like to think the ones I do get are cream of the crop. Also fur jackets, stoles and the lovely sixties cape shown on the 'New In August' collage.
This Months Revival Top Ups include our lovely 100% wool felt hats and our range of reproduction vintage inspired dresses from Pretty Retro.
New Vintage In For The Guys
Waist not want not with our latest selection of vintage waistcoats, they always sell well so you have to be quick to catch the one you want.
Boating Stripes in all shapes and sizes with these vintage blazers. Great as an alternative for vintage events, not forgetting a trip to a Regatta.
Getting shirty again with the introduction this month of a blue stripe spearpoint collar shirt to add to our pure white and sand stripe. We are really pleased with it, hope you are too.
This Months Revival Top Ups for the fellas include our deluxe range of fishtail trousers, trilbies and fedoras, top ups of our white spearpoint collar shirts and more of our Yorkshire made braces on their way soon including several new styles.
I can't go without a quick word about the event that is keeping us so busy. Mark and I are attending this popular event for the first time. Thought it was about time we saw what all the fuss is about. I have been sharing our outfits on social media and want to thank you all for your kind comments. At last we have an opportunity to enjoy some of our beautiful clothing for ourselves. When we trade at vintage fairs it's usually a case of throwing something on that's comfortable & practical for lugging stuff. Normally do my make up on in the car, often poking my eye out when Mark drives over a pot hole. For once we are attending as guests and can take our time getting ready in the mornings.
Hope we bump into some of you. If any of you like to attend the Goodwood Revival fashion show you will spot some of our clothing - namely 1950s & 60s bathing suits and beach wear. Can't wait....I will probably make a fool of myself shedding a tear when I see our things.....anyone would think it was my children I was watching not a load of old clothes!!
Sorry I have had to rush through this even more than usual.....have a wonderful month. Helene X
