Wool Pin Tuck Detail Dress

Pewter coloured wool dress with lots of tuck detail. The bodice has narrow ones with tiny bead trims. There are deeper tucks across the hips and down the front skirt. It has a long inverted pleat at the back for ease of walking.
The hem has a deep band of velvet which is echoed on the sleeves and neckline bow. These look to have been added later to give a dress a 'new' look by the war time wearer. There are some small flaws here and there such as a couple of missing beads and a small repair in the sleeve. Other areas are hand sewn and could do with machine stitching over. Nothing major though for a totally authentic make do and mend dress.
